So a few months back we saw images for a concept cell phone called the Sony Ericsson KiKi. It looked different with the transparent screen. It seemed very futuristic. Well this week Sony Ericsson did announce the phone. It is being called the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness.
Now very little is actually known about the Xperia Pureness as Sony Ericsson didn’t give any specs from it. The release date is expected to be in November and the rumoured price tag is around $1000.
I guess for now we just have to wait and see

So thanks to our friends over at BoyGeniusReport it looks like Rogers Communications will be launching the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a in June. This means that everyone will finally be able to use the HSPA functions.
We at PureMobile get calls every day about the X1a. Sony Style in the US has had it on their site since the Sony Xperia X1 came out last year but so far no one has been lucky enough to actually get their hands on one. Well at least now the wait is soon to be over and that means we will have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a unlocked as soon as we can.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a will have all the goodies of the X1, slide out keyboard, Wi-Fi, and best of all 3G. This will allow for high speed downloads on your phone rather then using the slower Edge network.
Well the good news is the rumor is that the phone will be widely available on Rogers on June 30 but they will have some available as early as June 9 so hopefully we at PureMobile will get our hands on them as soon as possible for our loyal customers

Sony Ericsson has finally released the Xperia X1. This is the long awaited phone for Sony Ericsson and with so many delays the question is does it live up to the expectations.
The phone is a quad band GSM phone that comes with all the bells and whistles you could want. It has 3G for those high speed downloads while you are surfing the web on your phone. If you are in an are in a wireless network area then you can log on using the Wi-Fi built into the phone. It comes with a GPS system so if you need directions you don’t have to stop and ask. Also being a Sony Ericsson phone it comes with an FM Radio and all the music functions you could want.
It is definitely a well designed smartphone. All the extra developement time has made it a top of the line smartphone that everyone will want. The integrated QWERTY keyboard is a nice function that gives you the ability to type rather then use a touch-screen system like in many phones these days.
Now the real con of the Xperia X1, the price. At nearly $1000 it is definitely on the higher end phone budget, but with all the phone can do it’s price tag is nearly justifiable. It can be a complete laptop replacement which makes travelling easier and lighter.
Our overall opinion is that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is a good phone. If you can get it now then it should be considered. The price point is high but if you use your phone and laptop all the time this could be a great replacement.
