This is something which is always close to our heart for the people who have been into gaming when they were small. This will surely be the case when the new Space Invaders HD releases as a game on the Apple app store and can be used on the iPad. This version of Taito’s very popular game Space Invaders had released on the unlocked iPhone 4 but this new HD version is slightly different which can only be used on the iPad. Furthermore, this is not some kind of evolution of the new and improved Space Invaders Infinity which is not the original version of the game which we are pretty fond of. If we may say, this recreation of the older game is pretty good and we really like it when some classic game is recreated like this.
This game is of course slightly different from the version which was earlier released version for the mobile phone. First and foremost, the screen of the iPad can be used for this game with dedicated controls which will be there at the bottom of the screen. The game surface covers most of the top part of the screen and the lower part will sport the shot button and the joystick. The game will however only support a single player mode and the bottom controller can be used to control the ship in the game. Other than this you will also get the somewhat dicey Accelerometer control which can be adjusted from the iPad’s control which goes by the same name.
However for the people who do not want to only play a single player mode, there is an option for double player mode which is much like the classic arcade game where you can sit on the either side of the iPad and can control the game when it is your turn.

All Facebook users must have sent their friends online a drink sometime or the other. Getting virtual drinks on the web may be really exciting for most of the times, but at the end of the day, we all wish that it could be reality, don’t we? Well, time has come and it has now become a reality. Now, users can buy a drink voucher worth $1 which is valid in over sixty bars all around the city of Ottawa. This facility will soon be extended and will include many other cities in the near future as well.

How this will work is that the Facebook user will buy a $1 voucher on the app from there Smartphone and this will be received by the person who it is being sent to via a notification, text message or on the app itself. Then this can be shown at the bar and after we pay an additional fee of $1, we will receive our drink. We think that this is better than sending virtual drinks and pokes to people on Facebook aimlessly throughout the day.

The Bartab app will soon be made available on the Unlocked Apple iPhone and will be released by the month of August in Los Angeles and New York. After this is released here, several other bars in this region will be coming into the fray. Most bars have already nodded their approval for this new and exciting app. They have recognized that it will surely get them many more customers. Webtab’s president, Johnson, has mentioned that although Facebook has been charging one dollar for virtual drinks, they are offering you the real thing for the same amount.
This app can be downloaded on the Unlocked iPhone4. It’s really easy to use. In order to get started, have some money in your account before sending the drinks. Log into Facebook from the app and you are on your way.

The popular mobile phone of Nokia Unlocked ( 5230 ) has now been released in a white variant which is following the black version which was released earlier in WIND mobile and later released in black. Now Canada has welcomed the black variant in Mobilicity.
The Mobilicity store has quoted a price of $169.99 and also comes with free Bluetooth handset which is ideal for the person who is constantly on the move and working.
As said earlier, this phone has got a large number of multimedia features which have been literally stuffed in. One is the usual music player which allows you to listen to music at really high quality. Other than that, there is an interesting twist to the QWERTY by giving a virtual keypad which makes typing a breeze. There is also the now almost customary telephone camera. This phone has a 2.0 Mega pixel camera which allows you to take pictures at a reasonable quality. Along with all these features, the Nokia 5230 also has Google maps linkage which ensures that you never get lost.

Hence we see that this phone is loaded in terms of features and you will be satisfied with what it provides for the amount of money that you pay. Other than these, if we go into the more technological specifications of it, the Nokia 5230 has the S60 5th edition operating software and is Bluetooth enabled as has been mentioned earlier.
A light weight of 113 grams and a level of 4 or 5 hours of talk time and over 458 of standby time makes this unlocked mobile phone a definitely handy option. Furthermore, this phone has an SD card slot such that you can expand the memory to 16 GB. All you have to do is to go over to Mobilicity for more details on the Nokia 5230.

An analyst survey showed that 77% of the people who had lined up to buy the iPhone 4 on the first day of its launch were already using unlocked iPhone 3GS and were just upgrading from their previous Apple smart phones. It showed that 6% of the buyers were previously using a BlackBerry, 3% had a device like myTouch 3G and the second largest category comprising of 12% of users were using “other” devices.

The answer to this surprising revelation lies in the fact that although technologies like the 3G and 3GS caused improvements in the hardware of the smartphone, the Unlocked iPhone 4 was a class apart. It not only was sleeker in form with a stainless steel bezel as an antenna and looked better in the hands of the owner, but also felt like an absolute device of luxury. The use of the bezel antenna however led to problems with holding the phone. This was thought to be the primary reason why iPhone users were upgrading to the fourth version making it the biggest hardware revision in iPhone history.

When asked why they were upgrading to the fourth version some buyers like the one we met standing first in line at the Apple store stated that iPhone 4, being the only iPhone optimized to run iOS 4, was a major draw to them. It enabled multitasking, social gaming networks etc. Also schemes brought out by few service provider added to the frenzy surrounding the iPhone 4. The sharp brained Mr. Jobs & Co. let it be known that anyone having an upgrade date in 2010 will get the Unlocked Smartphone at their entry-level price on the day of its launch. A dedicated Apple worshipper therefore did exactly as he was told because it was seen from the survey that 65% of the first-day buyers of iPhone 4 were also owners of a MAC computer as compared to the 35% using a general PC, this considering the fact that people using a PC (Windows) vastly outnumbered those using an Apple desktop or laptops.

If you are currently in the market for a new cell phone but not interested in all of text message driven smartphones then Sony Ericsson may have a new phone for you. Sony Ericsson recently launched a pair of Walkman phones known as the Zylo and Spiro. Both phones feature the Sony Ericsson Walkman music player as well as built in apps for Facebook and Twitter access. Other than these two features these two new phones are true featurephone devices with QVGA resolution screens and a numeric keypad.
The Zylo is the more upscale model of the two new devices. With a larger 2.6 screen the Zylo also gets a high-quality music playback option. The Walkman on the Zylo can handle lossless FLAC flies as well. One of the cool features of the Zylo is that the device has the ability to play music files in the background during conversations so you can let a caller listen to your playlist. The Zylo even comes with ambient noise tracks for the background so that you can pretend to be calling from a work office, street or restaurant.

The Spiro is lacking in the additional features department from the Zylo. The Spiro does not have FLAC support and also lacks the background music playback and ambient noise tracks. The simpler Spiro comes with a 2.2” QVGA display to go along with the Walkman player. The one standout feature of the Spiro is the one-touch access to TrackID which is Sony Ericsson’s music identification service.
While many mobile device customers are into the various unlocked smartphones that have infiltrated the market it is nice to know that there are still other options out there if you do not have a need to be connected on Facebook or Twitter all of the time. The pricing for the Zylo and Spiro is unknown at this time but the two devices are expected to be available in Q3 of 2010.
