Can’t we all just get along?

Apple – HTC Saga Continues….

By Aldo Panessidi

Can’t we all just get along?

In a round robin style of legal actions, the US International Trade Commission has agreed to revisit a decision made by a judge earlier this year. That particular ruling was not to the liking of Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, HTC, as the decision cleared Apple of four patent violation accusations.  Leaving your valuable mobile devices unprotected is risky!  Protect your devices from scratches and blemishes with the latest stylish top brand bag, sleeves and case accessories.

Despite HTC’s tag line of “Quietly Brilliant,” the company has not been quiet in this technological battle of wills with Apple. And, as the first smartphone to market using Android OS technology, this corporate judicial sparring has likely been in the works for a number of years. The October ruling by an ITC judge determined that the HTC owned patents related to power management and phone dialing were not violated by Apple’s iPhone 4s, iPad 3G or iPod Touch.

In true legal relay fashion, the ITC decision came right before a ruling on a case brought against HTC by Apple which will determine if the smartphones manufactured by HTC are the culprits in patent infringement. As the HTC claim included Apple’s tablet technology, this writer does wonder if the HTC Flyer tablet will come under scrutiny as well. Taking their claim to where it matters most, Apple is pursued an injunction which will bar the rival HTC from distributing and selling products that include patent-violating technology in the US beginning in April 2012.  Enhance your mobility… turn your device into a power tool.  Discover our the accessories, stylus & pens, SD micro cards, data cables, desktop chargers, car kits and special glider gloves specifically designed to make your devices functionally efficient and performance rich.

Can’t we all just get along? For now it looks as though Apple has won the battle. However, based on the volley of legal actions between the two companies in recent months, there will likely be more news to follow. Who knows, with the forces of Apple, HTC (and Google Android perhaps?), these lawsuits could easily start to drift into patent questions around docking stations, hands free technologies, and other consumer inspired accessories. Stay posted for the next move in the game.

HTC Claims iPhone’s Waning in Popularity

HTC seems to think that regardless of whether or not the iPhone 5 has the huge release that everyone is anticipating, that the unlocked iPhone 4 is a device that is potentially going to wane in popularity over the course of the next few years. Apple is a company that is expected to take home as much as 15% of the overall smartphone market by 2015. HTC seems to think that they are going to be able to snatch out a larger part of the market that was originally attributed to them.

HTC Claims iPhone’s Waning in Popularity

The company said that with so many different players within the space all innovating on new products, Apple will not be able to keep their stranglehold on the market for too long. The company has been specifically targeting the iPhone including running the recently produced advertisement that said simply “if you do not have an iPhone you do not have an iPhone.”

It will be interesting to see what kind of changes we see in the overall popularity of the iPhone moving forward into the future. The device, as of this time, is undoubtedly the most popular mobile device in the marketplace. As we move forward, you can expect to see the iPhone 4 unlocked either continue to garner a larger market share, or two eventually fall off over a period of time. Other companies within the states are doing their best to ensure that the Apple iPhone is not viewed as cool for the foreseeable future. They are doing everything they can within their advertising to make their phones appear to be on the same level and make it known within the general public that other phones are powerful if not more powerful, and hope to see a dramatic shift within the industry regarding smart devices over the course of the next few years.

HTC Thunderbolt Review

The HTC Thunderbolt is a highly anticipated device that is touted as being one of the first 4G high powered smart devices. Just as they did with their EVO 4G, which was released on the Sprint network, the company is heavily pursuing the 4G market. The Thunderbolt is their newest edition to their 4G phones and is easily one of the most high powered phones that the company has ever released.

The hardware for the phone is the main selling point. It features a 1 GHz snapdragon processor. The large 4.3 inch screen that has an LCD display. It also features a high powered 8 megapixel rear facing camera with duo LED flash. The HTC Thunderbolt is a solid phone in terms of build. There is really not much that would be able to physically damage this device. It is easily the strongest device that unlocked HTC phones have ever released. For this reason the device is quite large, and is very heavy compared to other similarly priced devices.

If you are looking for a small, sleek device then the Thunderbolt is not for you. IT is a tank, to put it simply. It’s high powered hardware is backed up by an impeccable security minded build.

The phone runs the software seamlessly. The experience on the device is similar to any of the other Android devices that the company has released. It utilizes their Sense UI and is easily one of the smoothest experiences of any Android device.

The Thunderbolt is sure to garner a huge following. It appeals to the crowd that are looking for a great experience at the cost of size and weight, and will also be hugely popular with individuals that always seem to have a problem with breaking their phones. The company has put together a very solid offering with the HTC Thunderbolt.

Users now have the option of choosing a Rogers HTC Android phone

HTC has come up with its new Android phone  with a 1.2 GHz CPU and along with it CDMA and GSM support. The phone looks pretty different and people might think that it is way ahead than HTC, but it is definitely not a world phone as per reports. This can very well be termed as a Smartphone. The device looks a little smaller than the  HTC EVO 4G.  The phone has a 4 inch display screen along with a QWERTY keyboard and it is speculated that by 2011 this phone will be launched by Rogers. But till the time it is launched its specifications might change. With the given time it will launch with Android 2.2 or 3.0 or with Gingerbread. This is a high end handset that would be launched in 2011.

Although pictures have been spotted of this phone, we can just see it and take the pleasure. Not much information has been out about this eagerly awaited phone. As for the operating system the phone will run under Android 2.2 Froyo.  Since much information is not available about this phone people can just speculate what it would be like but there are chances that the applications and the specifications will change when it comes out in 2011. From the pictures available the phone looks classy, stylish and is quite big in size with 4 inch touch screen.

This HTC phone will have good features which is not offered by any other phone as per assumption. The proto type of this HTC will come with a Vodafone SIM and as discussed earlier it will support both CDMA and GSM connection. Although information available is scarce people are speculating and talking much about this phone.

Only a few days back Telus made an official announcement that the Desire would be made available and in all possibility you can get it on your network. While the specific launch date is yet to hit the markets and this still remains under curtains, some facts however have been unveiled and thrown to light.

The pricing factor was what was revealed and it was found that for one year it would cost you just under five hundred dollars, however, for two years it is priced at just under four hundred dollars and for three years, it would be around three hundred dollars almost.
