There are those moments where no news is good news. This is generally not the case in the technology world; in particular within mobile technology market space... which is constantly evolving, improving, and innovating to keep pace with a tech savvy and tech hungry consumer base. A market base growing at an exponential rate as unlocked cell phones becomes more and more available to consumers in India, Africa and China. Thankfully the advent of tablets and a plethora of mobile accessories such as cases, skins, screen protectors, desktop chargers as well as Bluetooth Headsets keep our little hands busy while awaiting the latest smartphone relases.

Acer has long been a key player in the computer world. Their strong showing in the personal computer market space should have indicated a propensity to do well in the tablet market (here is an interesting inforgraphic on Tablet Takeover) the as another “endpoint segment.” So far that is not the case.

Also, they will be continuing with their smartphone production and have no projects on the chopping block at the moment in contradiction of recent reports.
Will Acer turn to [...]

Consumers have long been ahead of the curve in regards to their mobile devices : how they use them, what features they want, how they enhance their mobility with accessories such as stylus & pens, SD micro cards, data cables, desktop chargers, car kits and special glider gloves to make the most of media features etc. The cell phone carriers are slow to innovate their service plans to reflect changed behavior. Instead customers are paying through the nose for not only high end smartphones, but for the outlandish fees assessed for SMS messages, sports updates, and browsing that a typical user does on a daily basis. The fact of the matter is that we do not primary use our phones to talk anymore.
Consumers have voted with certainty and banded with mobile device manufacturers that have made unlocked cell phones available for sale so customers are free to shop [...]

Some people would look at current market share distribution for Windows OS smartphones and give a shrug “meh – 2% of the market? Not a likely contender.” It is true that Microsoft hasn’t had the easiest road breaking into this new era of pocket PCs (aka smartphones), but the latest joint venture with European feature phone giant, Nokia, looks to be a step in the right direction. What would a giant step in the right direction be? Pairing up its OS with a Samsung handset. This is precisely what they have down with the Samsung i8350 Omnia W, a move that is bound to shake things up as Samsung has quickly become the Android golden child of smartphone manufacturing. Let the latest trend setting fashionable accessories express your unique style! Discover award-wining design protective cases and skins that deliver modern style, stunning design and smart protection. Make your [...]
