2012 BlackBerry Smartphone Redesign

Most Blackberry smartphones, once launched to the market, become an instant hit with users. The signature QWERTY keyboard was part of the BlackBerry’s iconic design. Over the past 10 years, Blackberry smartphones had little competition. As other cell phone manufacturers have developed simplified smartphone designs and extended features, the popularity of BlackBerry phones has decreased significantly.

2012 BlackBerry Smartphone Redesign

Recently, the Vice President of Industrial Design for RIM BlackBerry announced that BlackBerry smartphones have undergone a makeover. RIM BlackBerry will release new unlocked cell phones and cell phone accessories designed to compete with many of the most popular smartphones manufactured by companies like Apple or HTC.

While little information has been released on the design and features of the new generation of BlackBerry phones, consumers can expect the new design to be similar to the current trend in smartphone designs. The Vice President of Industrial Design indicated the new phones would be fun and whimsical. In addition, BlackBerry will develop additional mobile accessories to compliment their line of smartphones.

It seems that, the 2012 BlackBerry smartphones will be a combination of the traditional BlackBerry design and the new sleek line of phones with touch screens. However, it remains to be seen if the new design will set BlackBerry apart from the current popular cell phones.

2012 BlackBerry Smartphone Redesign

The 2012 BlackBerry smartphones will certainly cause a tremendous interest as the phones are released. While the phones may have a new design that may catch consumer attention, the phones need to have unique cutting-edge features to keep the attention of discriminating consumers.  Moreover, Blackberry is also slated to release a plethora of trendy cases, covers, skins and other phone accessories to satiate the most demanding fashionistas.

It seems an era is ending for BlackBerry. If the new designs are appealing to cell phone users, BlackBerry may create a new era in its long history. It will be exciting to see what the development team comes up with both cell phone design and cell phone accessories to regain BlackBerry’s market share.

RIM Announces BlackBerry App World 1 Billion Downloads Mark

There is a lot happening for RIM right now but unfortunately most of the news has been negative. This is a time where most manufacturers are looking to position themselves for the holiday season push. It all started last week when there were issues with Blackberry users such as unlocked Bold 9780, Torch 2 9810, etc.. getting bulk e-mails and text messages.

RIM Announces BlackBerry App World 1 Billion Downloads Mark

This week RIM is having their Blackberry Devcon conference to release their newest devices as well as talk about some of the growth of the company and their upcoming efforts. As is typical with most press conferences, the CEO of the company provided all the details. The following are some of the highlights of the conference so far.

The Blackberry app world has been quietly gaining traction in terms of downloads as results of the group of handsets recently released by Blackberry. A new milestone has been hit and the CEO has just informed us they have reached the 1 billion downloads mark. Given some of the data from the other apps services, this milestone is somewhat insignificant. But from a consumer perspective, it does come off as an impressive feat.

RIM Announces BlackBerry App World 1 Billion Downloads MarkIn addition to the milestone, Blackberry has also provided us with some other statistics that are deathly worth mentioning. First off they talk about how their subscriber base has increased by 50 million subscribers and that they have a total of 70 million subscribers using the Blackberry app world. Worldwide figures show that they have over 115 million smart phones in the marketplace and have sold 165 million smart phones to date.

RIM is also set to launch their new operating system code-named BBX which is said to be a revolutionary piece of software that will leapfrog over all that exists on the market today. This is somewhat hard to believe but we’ll take a wait-and-see approach. It will be interesting to see what features are going to be included and we are sure that leaks will start to get out in the coming weeks.

RBC States There are 4 Challenges for RIM

RIM has a number of different challenges that have been holding it back over the course of the last few months. They have seen their market share fall drastically and have been unable to put together a plan that will allow them to better capture fragments of the market that they had been missing for quite some time. The current smartphone market shares at 38%, down a total of 4% from earlier in the year. They continued to fall drastically, and they have recently seen the lowest point for their stock in the last five years. They have been together a number of uncompetitive products and software that made it hard for them to be able to keep up with the competition, according to RBC.

RBC States There are 4 Challenges for RIM

In their report they also said that marketing and launch execution was one of their biggest issues. RIM have released a number of high quality products such Bold 9900, Torch 9810, etc,,, but not properly launched a type them up the way that other companies have been able to do with their own products. Another problem that was stated was investor credibility and visibility. They have been unable to offer reliable guidance to their investors and as a result have been unable to keep them.

RBC States There are 4 Challenges for RIMIt will be interesting to see if they are able to take their market share back and be able to put type able products on the table that they’re going to push. Research In Motion has been a bit behind in terms of their ability to make their products seem cool and appeal to the average user. It will be interesting to see if they are able to make the necessary changes in order to turn things around for themselves and for their investors. After seeing their five-year low on the stock market, it has become increasingly clear that the company is in dire straits and really needs to turn things around and get out of their current situation.

RIM Works on BBM Music Service

It has been rumored for quite some time that research in motion is looking to extend their Blackberry messenger service to include a music service as well. To say the least, this will be something that will definitely benefit their users and will allow them to add new services to their popular Blackberry messenger system for their unlocked device such unlocked Bold Touch 9900, Curve 9370, etc… It is not currently clear what music labels that they have deals in place with, but you can bet that Research In Motion would not be launching without having first done their homework and ensuring that they can bring an exciting service to the table.

RIM Works on BBM Music Service

It is currently unclear how much the company is looking to charge for the new service, and rumors have suggested a large number of different prices. They have been putting the other a large number of different new additions to their platforms, and are looking to add enough to earn back the market share that the company is lost.

A recent report in the Wall Street Journal suggests that the new service will cost a significant amount less than the other popular music services that are out there, such as Spotify, which charges a total of $10 per month for premium access to their platform. Research In Motion has talked to a number of large music labels already including the Sony Music Entertainment Group, Warner Music Group and Universal Music.

The company has been working hard to put together a wide range of new products, and to also extend the products that they currently have. They have been able to put together a number of solid products that have really changed the perception of the company over the course of the last few weeks and months. Research in motion is a company that has acknowledged the issues that they have as a company, and have worked hard to get past.

BlackBerry Colt Will Launch in 2011

The BlackBerry Colt is a device that has been highly anticipated by many persons was first announced. The device is one that many users have been eagerly awaiting for because it is a device that Research In Motion is put a lot of effort into marketing over the course of the last few months. This could be the last chance that they have to regain ground in the smartphone market, and it looks as though Research In Motion will be aggressively marketing the new device. They have seen their market share fall drastically over the course of the last few years."BlackBerry Colt"

The sooner than expected loss for the device that is coming in 2011 will certainly allow it to be one of the better options available to most users. We are going to be withdrawing from the quarter one 2012 launch that they originally planned on, and bringing a new launch to the table in 2011. The phone will feature a 4.3 inch display; a single core processor created by QUALCOMM, and will be one of the most spectacular releases that they are going to lunch. Although the specs are not all that overwhelming, especially with a quad core world just on the rise of, it looks as though the device will be one that is going to be a real turnaround for Research In Motion. The Blackberry Company is one that is going to continue to grow as long as they are able to the quality phone table. Hopefully it will be able to run their software seamlessly in overall the entire device will be well-rounded and will be able to help them to earn back some of the users that have strayed from the company to others over the course of the last few years.

RIM Debuts New “Operation Disruptive Transformation”

RIM Debuts New “Operation Disruptive Transformation”Research In Motion is a company that has been putting together a new campaign for quite some time, and it was seems to be their most bold and meaningful. The new initiative that they are launching was announced with a set of documents that the company released became available on the Internet. They are looking to outline a new strategy in these documents in order to stomp on the competition. On the cover of the new initiative is shows a large foot stepping on HTC, Apple, Nokia, LG and other logos. Above the foot is labeled Blackberry, suggesting that the foot longs to Research In Motion and Blackberry.

It is evident that they are looking to regain the market share that they have lost. They have fallen far behind other companies over the course of the last few years, mostly because they have released less desirable devices. It will be interesting to see if they are able to regain the market share that they have lost. They have taken a hit in recent times, and have made it clear that they are looking to do everything in their power in order to get their previous standing back. They started to lose market share when operating systems like Android and IOS first hit the market.

RIM Debuts New “Operation Disruptive Transformation”

This shows that they are launching a new aggressive strategy in order to regain the market share that they have lost. To say the least, this shows that they are least taking a new approach. In the past, they have continued to do many of the same things that they did in the past and it is not currently clear exactly how this new strategy will work out for the company. What is clear is that they have decided that the past approach is not working or looking for a new way to go about it.

The second-quarter results were very positive for the company and shows that they have been able to grow their revenue on top of the number of subscribers that they have for quite some time. The company also announced that they had a large growth in the amount of data that the average subscriber was using. With the adoption of smartphones such as the unlocked iPhone 4, Android devices as well as the Blackberry system, Dell has had a hard time seeing up with the growing data usage, but that has not stopped them from remaining profitable. To say the least, it looks as if the company is that a solid growth rating continues to raise its number of subscribers after reaching the 7,200,000 mark. That number represents a 4.2% growth over the previous year and shows that they are still gaining in popularity among users throughout Canada.

BlackBerry Monaco and Monza Rebranded as Volt

When it was announced that the Monaco and Monza were coming out and would be exclusive to certain providers but there was no way to know what moniker they would be released under. Thevast majority of people assumed that they would get rid of the “Storm” brand and would be re-branded as another name before these devices would be released. Now it looks even more likely that these devices shed their brand and are able to be released under a whole new name, which looks like it is going to be “Volt.”

BlackBerry Monaco and Monza Rebranded as Volt

A number of BlackBerry fan blogs have stated that a number of sources have stated that the first full touchscreen smart phone will be called the Volt. However, at this time you have to take the report at face value as there is really nothing at this time that confirms the reports that have been out there for the last few days  So far the only thing that is clear is that Research In Motion has called the devices the Monaco 9850 and the Monza 9860.

BlackBerry Monaco and Monza Rebranded as Volt

The devices will feature a nice 3.7 inch full touch screen display, and will also have a 1.2 GHz processor, along with a five megapixel camera and NFC technology that has become all of the rage over the course of the last few weeks as Google has debuted their new Google Wallet technology and various manufacturing companies have announced that their devices will feature NFC technology as well. Rovio has also announced that their new Angry Birds game will feature NFC technology that will allow for users to share levels between one another. Look for other apps and devices to begin to utilize this technology moving forward into the future as well. the Monaco and Monza have not been officially announced in terms of what brand name they will be released under.
