Augmented Reality comes into the fray as Shotzoom Software is coming with its newest golf app for the Apple’s Unlocked iPhone4. With this new app, they have only wished to target the owners of the iPhone only. With this the users can experience the augmented reality of several golf courses all around the world and follow the arrows from the camera viewfinder and if one needs more information they can simply click on the spots from where you will be directed to the pages which will give you the information about the specific place that you want to check out.

This app has an amazing support capability to the tune of around thirty five thousand courses around the world and has over forty targets for every hole which pretty much means that this app can be used at any golf course around the world and at any time of the day. The Golfscape is available at a nominal pricing of $19.99 and can be purchased from the iTunes store. The Shotzoom app is a relative upgrade from its initial two apps which were also pretty successful. These older apps are the Golfshot which was the Golf GPS and the GolfPlan which was also developed with assistance from golfing experts like the Ryder Cup captain Paul Azinger. Both these apps are pretty famous and popular on the iTunes store and can be purchased from the store at prices of $29.99 and $4.99.

There also have been some reports that the Golfscape also has the capability to run on the Unlocked Iphone 3GS as this phone also comes with a built in compass. Therefore if you are a golfing fan then this one is definitely for you. Just use this on the course and you will be able to see the obstacles and all that is ahead of you by simply holding the camera up.

This may not be good news for Microsoft for their cell phone as initial reports that we have got from agencies say that this phone may be a waste of time and is not worth the price people plan to pay for it. This after our sources got to lay their hands on this phone for a demo run of it. Although this phone has been mostly criticized, we here have been somewhat cautious in putting this phone to the side and going against it. In fact we think that the phone has the potential to be pretty good because of the good hardware it carries.

In fact some of the reviewers have totally lambasted the phone and the software giant for having ever thought of coming into the smartphone market. It has been widely remarked that this phone is a complete waste of money and time. According to some experts, this phone will not attract any attention from developers nor from any of the major carriers in the market. They believe that Windows would be better off without this phone rather than trying to push it through in the market at their cost.

The major bone of contention for this phone has been the Windows Phone special UI or what is named ‘Metro’. This is a departure from the usual grid and icon interface which is there in the Android phones as well as the unlocked iPhone4 and has a new hub like interface where the apps can be interlinked. This interface has in several places been called cumbersome and cluttered when multiple apps come into a hub. Furthermore, this device has been attacked for its efficiency in multitasking.

However it is sad that no matter how much we are hopeful about the Microsoft Windows Phone 7, it is indeed a pretty weak phone. It would have been nice however to have this company as an important player in the smartphone market.

How many times have you used your smartphone to transfer documents from your office to home, but realize that you urgently forgot to take out a printout of the document before transferring them? Well, this might all soon be in the past as it has been stated that HP is set to introduce an entire range of Unlocked Smartphones that have the capability of printing directly from the mobile. Reports suggest that this will be possible because HP is planning on assigning a unique email address to each printer so that you can print a copy of what you need directly from your phone to your home printer, so that they would be ready when you return back home. While nothing has been officially stated, predications show that rates for the new printers will be anywhere from $100 to $400. At the same time, an entire range of web based services are planned for launching by HP in future in conjunction with the printers, although no official dates have been released.

Says Vyomesh I. Joshi, head of Hewlett-Packard, “Nearly everyone has been in a situation where they required some documents for printing urgently, but no one was present at home to carry out the printing. While we are the world’s largest technology company, we have decided to get back to our roots and develop an entire range of printers that customers can use to third advantage on the go, anytime they require to. The new printers will cost between $100- $400 and will be a breakthrough feature as it can allow one to print even when not at home or the office.”

It can now become possible to take a photo from your unlocked phone at work and send the photo to web ready printers so that it can be ready when you arrive at home. You can even share the email address of the printer with your family and friends so that if they are based in a different country from you, you can still view a copy of a photo clicked, at home.
