MLB’s Live at the Bat App is a Huge Hit
For all of the baseball fans out there who do not find themselves in front of your TV set all that often during game time there is a great new app that is available for the iPhone, Android and Blackberry. The MLB.com At Bat 2010 is a must have app for any baseball fan. This great app provides real time scores, live audio, in-game highlights and more. One of the new features for this year’s app is that you have the option to set your favorite teams and receive push notifications when new video highlights, box scores and a condensed game summary becomes available.
As for the in-game audio you have your choice of which audio feed you
would like to hear, the home team or the away team’s feed. The audio quality is pretty good, better on 3G than 2G, but comes with a 2-3 minute lag time. Sometimes you might get a push notification at the end of the game while you are still listening to the 9th inning. While this is not the cheapest app you will find, users can expect to pay $14.99, we think that it is certainly worth the price for all of the added features this year.
MLB.com’s At Bat 2010 is easily one of my favorite apps. I really enjoyed last year’s version and the 2010 edition is even better. If you happen to have a MLB.tv subscription you can even watch live baseball games on your unlocked mobile device. This is a fantastic app for any baseball enthusiast who is constantly on the go or lives outside of their favorite team’s market. Having the ability to listen to or watch a game anywhere you are is nice luxury to have.
