Survey Says Tablets Hindering PC Sales

A recent survey has stated that sales of the popular tablet computers such as the iPad have interrupted the sales within the PC industry. The survey was from more than 1,430 tablet owners in the United States. The survey was conducted in March, and showed that 84% of those respondents said that they use their tablets for playing games, 43% of those same people said that they use their tablets more they they do their PC’s, or even watch television at this point.

This shows how popular tablets have become in recent years. The popularity of the iPad 2 and unlocked iPhone 4 have probably hindered the PC market on its own, but with all of these other popular tablet computers being released, you can bet that sales in other industries are going to suffer as well.

This survey shows that people are also putting a lot more faith in the second iteration of the iPad 2 than they did the iPad 1, which received a good reception but was not able to sell nearly as many units as it will the second time around, according to a number of different estimates.

In the future, you can bet that many new attachments for tablet computers will be made available, which will make desktop computers more of a business tool rather than a web browsing tool, which essentially is what PC’s have become recently to many of their users.

The information was released in a blog that Google made today, in which they suggested that perhaps the tablet market is changing the way that users engage with any content on the web as a whole. With many iPad owners spending more time on their iPad are than they do watching TV, the entire entertainment industry is changing quickly.

iPhone 5 Aims for Quarter 3 Launch

A recent report from the China Times claims that the next version of the Apple iPhone, the iPhone 5, will be launching in the third quarter of this year, and will have some features that were only previously speculated about. The unlocked iPhone 4 was released late in the second quarter of 2010, and this rumored release is a little too close for comfort for those that purchased the iPhone 4, but those that decided to wait are undoubtedly thrilled.

The iPhone 4 just became available on Verizon in February, so the company has considered pushing the release of the iPhone 5 back to at least July for the time being to give users more time to get a hold of the iPhone 4 at its current price with Verizon.

The iPhone 5 will have a number of features that are highly anticipated including a larger 4 inch display that will stretch all the way to the edges of the device. The overall size of the device will not change from the previous versions, the only thing that will be growing is the size of the screen. There will also be a metal chassis that will replace the current glass chassis that is available with the iPhone 4 unlocked .

Both of these features would be welcome additions for the device. It is also rumored in the China Times that the device will have an NFC chip that will allow users to wirelessly pay for things, a technology that many hope could one day replace the use of debit and credit cards. The NFC technology could theoretically be used at stores and local shops, and allow you to pay straight from your smart device without having to swipe a card. Of course, there are some security issues that have been brought up with this technology, but compatibility alone will ensure that Apple is ready when and if the time comes for NFC technology to gain widespread use.

64 GB iPhone 4

While users eagerly awiat the release of the 64 GB unlocked iPhone 4, many media blogs around then et are getting their very first hands on look at the device. The new prototype that leaked online is going to have the 634 GB storage capacity as has been requested by Apple, and will also have a number of other new features that will make it an appealing upgrade for many. The iPhone 4 has been a widely successful release for Apple, which continues to release great devices.

The lost iPhone 4 prototype recently appeared in a video that was released on Gizmodo. The phone appears to be a prototype from the early iPhone 4 development. When you took the phone from the settings, to the general and then checked the storage capacity, you will see the full 64 GB that had been rumored when Apple was developing the iPhone 4.

This upgrade has been eagerly awiated by many users and really will change the game as a whole if they ever do decide to come out with a larger storage capacity version fo the iPhone 4 unlocked. However, with the iPhone 5 rumors already popping up, you can bet that Apple will save any significant upgrades for the next version fo the device.

The device shown int eh video was also running on iOS 4.1 at the time. It was not Sim locked, but did not have the full functionality of the iPhone. On the back of the device, the numbers of gigabytes are X’d out, as is the version of the phone. The phone was the first prototype of the 64 GB version of the phone that has made its way into the hands of the blogs, but do not expect it to be the last now that the cat is out of the bag. Apple will not discuss devices that were never released, but has admitted to many models of their iPhone that were never approved for public use.
