Get excited iBooks users! The iOS jailbreak known as Corona that was released last month for the iPhone4S and iPad is now updated to support Apple’s e-reader, iBooks. Be sure to get your updates though, as it is the build for version iOS 5.0.1.

But what does this new jailbreak upgrade mean for your Apple experience? While not as gratifying as playing with a new acquisition from the phenomenal family of accessories for each of the tablet, iPod media device and smartphones that will be covered by this new software update, it could address some of the issues occurring during browsing sessions on these same devices.
Because if you have experienced the launcher crashing on occasion, it is this upgrade that will doctor it up. There are some other bugs that will be fixed as well, but the addressed launcher is the biggie (for the really technical of you out there, the build is also included in redsn0w 0.9.10b4). So, with this update you need not fear having to remove your favorite Apple handset or tablet from its cozy protective case to play tech detective.
Leaving your valuable mobile devices unprotected is risky! Discover the latest innovative protection solutions… stylish top brand bags, sleeves and cases specifically designed to protect your devices from scratches and blemishes. Tough on the outside, sweet on the inside these brand name protection accessories combine complete device coverage with sleek artistic expression.
For those of you who already have jailbroken iPhone4 or iPad devices, Corona can be found and run through the Cydia store. Another option is downloading the updated OS X for Windows version (redsn0w) which will have the same impact.

And if you do not yet possess this untethered jailbreak, you can find more information on compatibility for iPhone 3GS, iPhone4, the first generation iPad, iPod Touch 3G and the iPod Touch 4G. Clearly this development team has been hard at work to bring this jailbreak technology to Apple’s various device offerings of smartphones, tablets and media players. Now, if we can keep that open concept movement to empower customers at other levels of purchasing and freedom of customization, amazing innovation is in the works.

Now to await their next upgrade to include iPhone4S and iPad2…

An analyst survey showed that 77% of the people who had lined up to buy the iPhone 4 on the first day of its launch were already using unlocked iPhone 3GS and were just upgrading from their previous Apple smart phones. It showed that 6% of the buyers were previously using a BlackBerry, 3% had a device like myTouch 3G and the second largest category comprising of 12% of users were using “other” devices.

The answer to this surprising revelation lies in the fact that although technologies like the 3G and 3GS caused improvements in the hardware of the smartphone, the Unlocked iPhone 4 was a class apart. It not only was sleeker in form with a stainless steel bezel as an antenna and looked better in the hands of the owner, but also felt like an absolute device of luxury. The use of the bezel antenna however led to problems with holding the phone. This was thought to be the primary reason why iPhone users were upgrading to the fourth version making it the biggest hardware revision in iPhone history.

When asked why they were upgrading to the fourth version some buyers like the one we met standing first in line at the Apple store stated that iPhone 4, being the only iPhone optimized to run iOS 4, was a major draw to them. It enabled multitasking, social gaming networks etc. Also schemes brought out by few service provider added to the frenzy surrounding the iPhone 4. The sharp brained Mr. Jobs & Co. let it be known that anyone having an upgrade date in 2010 will get the Unlocked Smartphone at their entry-level price on the day of its launch. A dedicated Apple worshipper therefore did exactly as he was told because it was seen from the survey that 65% of the first-day buyers of iPhone 4 were also owners of a MAC computer as compared to the 35% using a general PC, this considering the fact that people using a PC (Windows) vastly outnumbered those using an Apple desktop or laptops.

With the release of the iPhone earlier this month, mobile manufacturers have started rolling out devices having the capability of bettering Apple’s latest release. One such phone is a smartphone to be released by Motorola later this year. Why this particular phone? Mainly because it is going to make use of a 2GHz processor! That’s right, Motorola is planning on releasing an Android capable smartphone in 2010 with a processor that clocks 2GHz. Currently, the fastest mobile in the market is that of the HTC Scorpion which makes use of Snapdragon’s 1.5 GHz processor. The planned Motorola Milestone Unlocked Android phone with will gain an entire 0.5 GHz over HTC.

In case this new development has shocked you, we don’t blame you as while it might seem a bit hard to digest, it is not completely impossible. Currently none of the Snapdragon mobiles have even been capable of boasting of processor speeds anywhere close to 2GHz, so chances are that Motorola will not be going the Snapdragon route. According to Sanjay Jha, CEO of Motorola, “Everyone knows that there is no mobile in the world today having a processor of2GHz. We are going to meet this requirement of people by introducing a 2GHz Android processor later this year. We strive to provide smartphones having all technological capabilities.” Considering the above statement made by Mr. Jha, Motorola better not fall short in any way of delivering on their promise.
In case you are wondering as to what other functionalities can be expected from this phone apart from a really fast processor, chances are that you might get all that you bargained for. While we do not even have a name for the phone yet, it should have a Super AMOLED display having much better screen resolution than the Droid. On screen resolution should be much better than 854 x 480, although it might not be able to compare with Unlocked IPhone 4’s 326ppi.
We shall keep you posted, in case of any future developments regarding this unnamed phone.

Apple released its latest smartphone in the market, the Unlocked IPhone 4 with a launch date of 24th June. One of the greatest benefits of the iPhone 4 is that of Google’s integration with it. It has been confirmed that Google is going to launch a visual search application on the Apple iPhone soon. The deployment of such an application has been seen to be very beneficial to Google as it can help them reach a much great audience. Currently, various Google applications are already available on the iPhone such as Google Maps, YouTube and search.

This latest release from Google plans at allowing image recognition technology that is used for the powering of Goggles. With the release of Google Goggles, visual search would be made more prominent on the iPhone. Google has issued a statement on its website detailing its introduction of different API’s for image searching capabilities.
Through the use of Google Goggles, it becomes possible for mobile users to take advantage of clicking a photo by then gaining information about it. As a user, you can now click a photo and through Goggles have Google pull up information pertaining to the picture that was clicked. This can be done as the image that is clicked by a user would be sent through the internet to Google’s image search that processes the picture to gain information about the location and picture.
Smartphones that make use of Android such as Motorola Droid, Google Nexus One Unlocked gadget and HTC Droid Incredible will be able to use Goggles. However, with its introduction to the iPhone 4, Google is trying to branch away from only its operating system so as to benefit a greater number of users across the world. Since the iPhone has already shipped more than 50 million units, it is no wonder then that Google is trying to take advantage of this to further enhance its credibility in the mobile market.
