Buy a Rogers Capitve with Best Buy and get a $50 Gift Card

The Rogers Samsung’s Unlocked Captive is set to be released to the general public by the end of the month and Best Buy are celebrating this by giving away a $50 gift card to anyone who purchases the phone at the $149.99 price on a three year contract.

For those who would like to purchase the phone without a contract the phone can be bought with no SIM for around $550.

There is a lot of excitement and anticipation for the release of this Android 2.1 smart phone and it’s top-level specifications mean it should certainly be worth the hype. One of it’s most outstanding features is that it comes with a 5 megapixel camera capable of recording 720p HD video. It can also hold 32GB with a  micro-SD card but comes with an internal memory of 16GB anyway. It’s also worth mentioning the phone has a 1GHZ processor and of course, GPS and Wi-Fi.

Clearly this is certainly going to be the type of phone for the so called ‘power user’ or anyone looking to capture digital media on the go.

Visually the phone is tall and slim, measuring 4.18 x 2.5 x 0.39.  It also has a stylish appearance and comes in any colour the customer wants, as long as it’s black.

What’s most interesting about this phone however is that it is probably the first premium android phone to hit the Canadian market. Hopefully the power behind this phone will allow it to make use of some of the more advanced apps currently available and show Canadians just how powerful an Android phone can be.

So for those looking for a powerful new smart phone, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to head to the Best Buy website and pre-order one of these remarkable phones whilst taking advantage of the $50 Best Buy gift card that comes with it.

You can easily expect the TweetDeck launch soon

Very recently, there was news that the TweetDeck Beta for Android had been leaked and the news was met with a huge frenzy and craze from all over the globe, but that excitement soon died down when it was reported that the leaked version was an old build. However, there is something to get excited as of now. The Twitter application that is on Android phone will be launched in just over a few days or so, as it was reported on the Twitter account of TweetDeck. (That could easily make for a very hard tongue twister: TweetDeck Twitter Account)

But unfortunately, it will not be available in the Android market just as yet, which is definitely not a very good thing. It is being reported that it might take at least a few more months or even a year for this to happen, and that is just plain sad. But what can we do other than to just wait for it. We might have to just be content for now with Twitter or Seemic for Android to keep hold of yourself for the time being (at least it is much better than having nothing at all). But do remember, ‘patience is a virtue’.

You know very well how time flies and very soon, you might just be tweeting about your lunch menu, dinner place, hangouts with your friends or a date with your hot girlfriend and might just end up sharing every bit of gossip and news and become a rage among your friends. Now, that would not be half as bad, would it? However, do unlocked iPhone4 users need to be reminded that it is already available for your platform?

As said before, the application has not been made available in the Android market, and all the details pertaining to its installation and other information are available in the TweetDeck blog.
