Google Updates Mobile Movie Search
December 6th, 2009The ever updating and changing Google has updated its movie search application that is used by Apple iPhone, WebOS and Android devices. Not only has Google updated it on the mobile devices but also online as well. It seems as though Google is constantly attempting to improve its mobile search applications for a variety of areas. This will certainly make choosing a movie much easier!
The new Google mobile movie search is simple performed by typing movies on the browser. Once the site is on the screen, the user simply touches the more movies link. The screen will then display a variety of options.
The user can view a list of movies now playing. You can view movies by title or by the category of movie. The application also tells you the ratings of the movies. There is a tab called posters which will give you details and a summary of the movie. You can tap on the cast tab and pictures as well as information about the cast and crew will be displayed. By choosing trailers, the preview of the movie will be streamed to your mobile device.
By choosing the theaters tab, a list of theaters will be displayed with locations near you. A list of times for each movie showing will be displayed for each theater. A map with the location and distance will be able to be viewed. By using the new and free Google GPS application, turn by turn directions can be provided. This application will not allow the user to purchase tickets at this time.
The application is currently only available for the iPhone, WebOS and Android devices. With the ease of the touch screen displays, the search is user friendly and quick. This will indeed help those who need information about movies to make an informed choice.
