Android provides highest Free Apps
July 9th, 2010Though it’s quite evident that the Android market does have its ups and downs along with its numerous loopholes yet ironically it manages to get the net result to be on their side. The bottom-line: they get the job done. And if the recent performance charts are anything to go by then it definitely indicates the booming Android Smartphone (Google Nexus One Unlocked) industries market. They seem to have taken the world by storm with their technology.
The marketers’ of the Android technology has used a masterstroke by giving new definition to the word ‘free’. Generally when any company provides anything with its product as ‘free’ then it’s a general notion of the customers that it is expendable. But Android technology has made a huge proportion of their applications that are compatible and can be installed in their smart phones free. This Android market has the highest portion of free applications in any of the mobile applications store in the world. The free applications that the Android makers boast off comprise of a full 57 percent of the entire market place. As it is an application, which is free, and not a product hence customers are not really feeling that it’s of lesser quality. In this process the developers attract more customers with the ‘free’ tag. Hence ironically the makers are making more money by selling stuff for free.
But truth be told, the free applications that stream out from the Android market may cost a lot less than its Apple iPhone4 counterparts but they lack the finesse and the beauty of the applications that are available on the Apps store. But the cheap price tag does help in getting itself a lot of customers. The Android applications are sold at $3.29 whereas the average price of some of the best appearance software from that of an App store costs around $4.27.
