Nokia Introduces its new X5-01 Slider

June 16th, 2010

A new phone has once again been introduced by Nokia to its media driven Xseries devices. The new device named the New Unlocked Nokia (X5-01) Slider has a complete QWERTY keyboard that can be used for messaging. What’s more, the keyboard is a slide out feature built in the X5-01. Equipped with a 5MP camera that has 4x zoom, video capture as well as LED flash, the X5-01 Slider makes use of the S60 Third Edition software series. A new inbuilt feature of the media player allows users to change tracks by simply spinning the X5-01 Slider. This results in an automatic shuffle to a new track.

According to a release on Nokia’s website, “Our new X5-01 Slider will be equipped with a variety of features including support for most instant social networks as well as messaging networks. Users can also make use of the 2GB memory microSD card that will be packaged with the Slider, with options for extending capacity to 32GB. By simply spinning the X5-01, users can also randomly change music tracks. We also offer two different 3G configurations, one of which is compatible with AT&T’s 3G network due to our offering of tri-band 850/1900/2100 WCDMA.”

The new Nokia X5-01 Slider will also be equipped with quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. Although there is no fixed date by Nokia for the release of the X5-01 Slider, it has been disclosed that the phone will first be made available in Indonesia during the end of 2010. The X5-01 Slider is quite unique and is will be the bridge between the Nokia X3 andNokia Unlocked  X6. Featuring excellent sound clarity, music keys as well as loud speakers, the X5-01 Slider is a melomane’s dream device. With the help of the QWERTY keyboard, it also becomes possible to deliver tweets and stay in touch with friends on Facebook. All social networking websites and webmail services are supported on the X5.
