Telus Corporation, a leading telecommunications company from Alberta Canada is suing Rogers in hopes it will stop its claims that it is Canada's fastest and most reliable cell phone network. The company filed suit in British Colombia on November 12th, 2009.
Several factors have led to Telus's recent decisions. Telus began upgrading its system and completed the transition on November 5th. The company believed that Rogers statements about its fastest and more reliable services were no longer true. Telus company officials had asked Rogers to stop using the claims. Of course Rogers declined to do this.
Believing that Rogers is making false claims, the company pursued the lawsuit. The lawsuit states that Rogers is making false statements and should cease doing so. Rogers officials have denied the claims and have indicated that Telus has no research or factual basis to its suit and looks forward to defending themselves in court.

So, webOS finally has its own Facebook application. Unfortunately, this may be too little and too late. Widespread complaints about the long-overdue application denounce the overall inadequacies of the program. What you have with the new application is at best, a rudimentary outline of an application (think Windows’ Safe Mode as opposed to regularly-running Windows). In light of its previous incarnation for rival iphone, the webOS version merely leaves you wanting to just say ‘forget it,’ until you get home to your computer in order to access Facebook in an exponentially-less infuriating format.
Searching or browsing options seem to be incapacitated while looking at a friend’s homepage. You are unable to access contact information. The filter is apparently nonexistent, as pop ups and other streaming material have free and unrestrained reign. On top of this, you can neither access events, invitations, or any of the other features that make Facebook what [...]

The new Nokia N97 mini is supposed to be a more compact version of its predecessor the N97. However, upon inspection you will notice that there isn’t much difference in the size of the two. The mini is 4.4 inches tall while the N97 measures 4.6 inches tall. So, if you are thinking the “mini” is going to be substantially smaller, think again. Another criticism of the mini is nothing was done to improve the odd placement of the space bar.
While there are reasons to criticize the physical features of the N97 mini, once you get past those minor issues you will find the mini has been significantly upgraded on the inside. Yes, Nokia maintained the 8 GB of storage and included an option of expanding to 24 GB through adding a 16GB microSD card. A new 5- megapixel camera can also be found with the N97 mini.
The mini has [...]

The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic gets revamped with mobile TV inside is big news today since exactly four years has passed since Nokia first launched their new mobile video technology. Though this is their newest offering, they have constructed it in the body of an existing product that has been on the market. In this device Nokia has done an excellent job of combining the technologies of a mobile TV, networking, gaming, and music.
How does the mobile TV by Nokia Cell Phones work? A mobile tuner has been installed, the DVB-H, in the 5330 instead of using 3-G technology as others do. The antenna for the TV is provided through the wiring found in the earphone chords. The viewing screen is a 2.4 inch QVGA display. The digital TV programming is free and comes standard with a channel guide. Of course, one of the issues to keep in mind is you [...]

In the near distant future, it may be possible to play against PC gamers on your iPhone even when you are commuting. Now however, the idea is still at the drawing board process, but will no doubt produce a cry of excitement for iPhone lovers and gamers alike.
However, CEO Steve Perlman demonstrated OnLive running on two iPhones, a TV and a computer simultaneously, at a Wedbush financial conference in New York. A demonstration that could potentially become real and as a result redefine mobile gaming, as we know it.
While they may have only showed a demo, the audience was able to experience the OnLive application on an iPhone. Yet even though this latest application is proving to be an exciting introduction in the future, it is important to realise that a mobile phone is very different to that of a TV or computer. It is smaller and more compact and [...]

Rogers Communications have recently stated that they would be interested in purchasing WIND spectrum from Globalive after reports were raised that telecom setup may not be possible after regulatory ruling found that WIND does not meet Canadian ownership.
In August of this year, Globalive announced that it would soon be launching its network under the WIND brand in order to shake up the wireless industry in Canada. However, in order for this to happen, it must meet the Canadian ownership rules. These rules being that the sum of 80 percent must be owned and controlled by Canadians. This however is not possible, considering Orascom; an Egyptian company currently owns 65.1 percent of WIND equity, plus the WIND brand rights in Canada.
As a result, Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) stated that major changes needed to be implemented to the ownership structure before WIND could launch its network.
If Globalive does not launch [...]

There are people who carry more than one cell phone in order to utilize two different lines, and for these people, Samsung has created two brand new phones, the Samsung Duos phones, Samsung B5722 and the Samsung C6112. These two Samsung cell phones are expected to be made available in December but it is not yet known where their prices will be set. The Samsung duos allow a user to have two times the calling power in just one cell phone by using two separate SIM cards in them.
Samsung's new model C6112 is a slider cell phone, and like the B5722, it is limited to the quad-band GSM/EDGE for the chief SIM card as well as the dual-band GSM for the secondary one. The good news is that they can both be active at the same time, even if the backup SIM card does not have any data connectivity. The [...]

The jury is out on whether Telus SIM cards work with all of the versions of SciPhone, HiPhones and other iPhone impersonators on the market. Since the success of the iPhone has been so marked, many manufacturers have climbed on board and produced replica cell phones that are similar to the iPhones in many ways. Some owners of an iPhone clone even insist that their version of the iPhone is better in many ways than the genuine artifact.
Telus is a leading communication company based in British Columbia in Canada. This corporation is one that provides a vast array of communication products as well as communication services that include, among other things, data and Internet protocol service. They do not currently offer services within the United States. Around the year 2000, the Telus company, through a merger acquired a Scarborough Ontario based cellular phone company called Clearnet Communications. This purchase gave [...]
